The major global infectious diseases: tuberculosis and HIV

This 1.5 ECTS course at Karolinska Institutet/Department of Medicine will provide an overview of tuberculosis (TB) and HIV/AIDS infection and disease including relevant virology and bacteriology, TB/HIV co-infection, clinical management, international public health aspects, immunology and pathogenesis, diagnostic methods and principles of vaccines, therapy and drug resistance as well as novel research strategies.
