PhD student networking opportunity in Germany 10-12 April 2018

Our international collaborators, the Helmholtz Graduate School for Infection Research (HZI Grad School/GS FIRE) in Braunschweig, Germany, is inviting NDPIA PhD students to their 9th annual retreat 10-12 April 2018 in Quedlinburg. The retreat is mandatory for HZI Grad School PhD students and 3 NDPIA PhD students are invited to the retreat – the retreat and accommodation in Germany 9-13 April (in shared double rooms) are free of charge.

At the retreat all participants will present their research either via a poster or via an oral presentation and there will be many opportunities for networking both during the scientific parts of the retreat and during social events.

Additional information will be posted in due time at https://www.helmholtz-hzi.de/en/career/graduate_school/events/

If you are interested in joining the retreat, please fill out the HZI application form found here and send it to hzigrad.school@helmholtz-hzi.de as soon as possible

Registration deadline – 10 March 2018

The first three NDPIA PhD students who apply to the event will be admitted and can apply for a maximum of 4 500 SEK for NDPIA co-funding of travel costs (see below).

Admitted NDPIA PhD students are strongly encouraged to promote NDPIA at the retreat (link to NDPIA promotion material) and will be asked to provide a short summary of their learning outcomes after the retreat.

Airports in Hannover or Berlin are the best options for reaching Braunschweig. Accommodation in the Quedlinburg and the bus rides are free for everybody. NDPIA participants will receive free accommodation in Braunschweig 9-10 and 12-13 April.

If you have any questions regarding the retreat, please send an e-mail to hzigrad.school@helmholtz-hzi.de

If you are admitted to the retreat, please send an e-mail to anna.holmstrom@umu.se to request NDPIA co-funding for travel costs to participate in the activity (co-funding will be paid after the retreat has taken place).
