This 1 ECTS course at Umeå University covers fundamental theory and operational principles as well as specimen preparation techniques for scanning and transmission electron microscopy (SEM/TEM). The aim is to give general and basic introduction to PhD students and postdocs who would like to work with EM methods during their projects.

The course includes lectures during day 1, laboratory demonstrations during day 2 and electron microscopy operation demonstrations during day 3.
