Participants of NDPIA are encouraged to apply to courses linked to infections and antibiotics provided by the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL), link to EMBL courses, to EMBO/FEBS lecture courses, or the Wellcome Genome Campus, Cambridge, link to Wellcome Advanced Courses.
If doing so, participants should consider mentioning their affiliation to NDPIA and MIMS – the Swedish node of the Nordic EMBL Partnership for Molecular Medicine – when applying for courses/workshops at EMBL since this might result in a more favourable judgement of applications.
Suggested wording to complement a well motivated application:
“….. I am also a member of the National (Swedish) Doctoral Programme in Infection and Antibiotics (NDPIA) which is coordinated via MIMS (The Laboratory for Molecular Infection Medicine Sweden), the Swedish node of the Nordic EMBL Partnership for Molecular Medicine.”
If accepted to a relevant EMBL/Wellcome course of 2-5 days, NDPIA participants can apply for NDPIA co-funding for up to 10 000 SEK covering costs for registration fee, travel and accommodation by filling out the on-line form below.
After having participated in an EMBL/Wellcome course with NDPIA co-funding, the recipient should submit a form including details on the course, learning outcomes, their opinion of the course etc. Link to follow-up form. This is a prerequisite for receiving the granted NDPIA co-funding after having attended the course.
