National Course in Molecular Virology

About the course
The aim of this 1 ECTS course is to provide a broad and in-depth knowledge of different areas of virology. Senior Scandinavian researchers will give lectures spanning a wide array of fields in virology such as pathogenesis, evolution, host genetics, diagnostics and immunology. The course will also include poster sessions where participants can communicate their research, time for group discussions and networking activities.

At the poster session, participants will present current research or, if in the beginning of their doctoral studies, their future research field and aims of their project. Regular posters or A3 printouts can be brought.

Schedule (may be subject to changes)

A buss transport will be organised from Gothenburg to Smögen on Monday 17th, more information follow shortly after the registration deadline.

Who can apply/register?
Registered PhD students and postdocs working in virology are welcome to apply. In case of oversubscription, the number of students per research group may be limited, and PhD students will have priority over postdocs. The course is sponsored by the National Doctoral Programme in Infections and Antibiotics (NDPIA) and therefore NDPIA participants will be prioritized if the workshop is oversubscribed.
