The National Infection Biology meeting of 2017 (NIB 2017) will be held 17-18 October at Djurönäset outside Stockholm. The aim of the meeting is to gather experimental researchers, physicians and epidemiologists interested in molecular and clinical microbiology, immunology and host-pathogen interactions. Invited speakers and speakers selected from submitted abstracts will present their research spanning bacterial, viral and parasitic infections, host-pathogen interactions, host defence etc. There will also be a poster session 17 October.

The meeting will be preceded by NDPIA workshops with the international trainers Billy Uber (Leadership Sculptor, Germany) on "communicating research with non-experts" and Sarah Blackford (Lancaster University, UK) on "career planning" 16-17 October 2017.
