5 positions available in Copenhagen!

A research project – PERFECTION – investigating persistent bacterial infections has recently been established at Rigshospitalet (National Hospital) in Copenhagen and they are looking for five candidates to join the team!

Postdocs:

They are searching for four ambitious postdoctoral researchers with documented expertise within one or more of the following areas:

  • Cell biology
  • Molecular biology (genome editing)
  • Molecular microbiology (genetics, -omics, data analysis)

Lab technician:

They also want a highly motivated laboratory technician with documented experience in the following areas:

  • Mammalian cell culturing and isolation, preferentially stem/primary cell cultures and preferably experience with organoids
  • Routine human cell laboratory practices and safety regulations (e.g., class 2 biosafety, etc.).
  • Lab organization (stocks, ordering, hygiene & security)

New course available: Introduction to Academic Writing!

The Introduction to Academic Writing: Analysis of Writing Style and Writing Strategies-course is an adapted version of an introduction writing course that has been taught in Sweden and Germany since 2004 and follows the same syllabus. The students will learn how fluent English readers read so they can diagnose the readability of their own writing.

If you have taken the Nature Masterclasses: Scientific Writing and Publishing-course this is a great complement!

This course is designed for PhD students and postdocs who want to improve their skills in drawing images/figures for scientific posters, presentations, and publications. The course consists of tutorial videos, home assignments and four scheduled face-to-face feedback sessions online. Students progress from a beginner to an advanced level in visual rhetoric and in use of an illustration software of your choice.

This course is open only for NDPIA members.

Apply for a postdoctoral scholarship in medical microbiology today!

The Department of Medical Biochemistry and Microbiology at Uppsala University is offering a time-limited, 2-year postdoc scholarship (stipend, 100%) in medical microbiology with a focus on studies of interactions between antibiotics.

The team is looking for an outstanding postdoc that has a PhD in microbiology, genetics, evolutionary biology or similar where the PhD work was focused on bacterial systems.

Postdoctoral position in onco-immunology available at Pasteur Institute of Lille in France

The team at the Pasteur Institute of Lille in France is looking for an enthusiastic post-doctoral candidate with a high degree of independence to participate in their project on the regulation of stem cells biology by the gut microbiota.

You will have the opportunity to work on mechanisms to escape anti-tumor immunosurveillance within the stem cell niche of intestinal crypts in an environment with state-of-the-art facilities for imaging, FACS and preclinical studies.
